Arranged To Be His : A Swasan Fanfic. (Chapter 4)

Chapter 4

Sanskar’s POV~

“Congratulations brother! Welcome to the club!” My brother exclaimed, pulling me into a hug.

Ashmit came and kissed Swara’s cheek. And meanwhile, everyone gave the ‘aww’ look.

“He already likes his chachi.” Bhabhi said.

“Ma, this was a kiss not from me but Sanskar chachu. Chachi, did you like it?” Ashmit pouted innocently.

Now the kids were also teasing me. What the hell have I done wrong to get this?

“Oh. So this is technically Sanskar’s first kiss to Swara.” My mom piped in. Okay, now things are really getting worse. But I don’t know why I felt heat rising upto my cheeks as soon as I heard that.

Wait. . .was I blushing? No! Girls do that. Sanskar Kapoor can never blush.

“See, he’s already blushing like a girl! Really can’t wait for this marriage to happen.” Adarsh bhai nudged me on the side.

I just stood there in shock not knowing what to say now. There has been a big misunderstanding and I had to clear it. There was no way I was getting married to Swara. She was smart, beautiful, and independent. Basically everything a guy looks for in a girl. But she was also rude, arrogant to ME and thus not my type. Another problem was marriage. For which, neither of us were ready.

“Then why did you say a ‘yes’?”
A voice spoke from the back of my mind. Why? I thought.

Anyway, there was no time to think why I said so. I had to talk to Swara.

“Arrey beta. Aur lo na. . .” Swara’s mom insisted. I was totally stuffed and couldn’t eat more. But she poured some more dal fry in my bowl. I tried talking to Swara, but everytime I tried to talk to her, someone would come in between.

I wasn’t hungry at all, but its a rule in Punjabi’s; you have to eat even when you are not hungry.

Swara was sitting in front of me giving me an angry and worried look. She was basically frustrated. So was I. . . She must’ve thought its all my fault.

You too said a ‘yes’, remember?

I felt a hard kick on my right foot. I snapped my head up from the table to find out the guilty. But I couldn’t make out as everyone were busy in their own stupid conversations. I resumed my eating business when again I felt a kick. Ouch! This time it was harder.

And I noticed Swara giving me a too fake smile indicating me to just buzz off. Undoubtedly, it was her.

I couldn’t take it anymore. I had to talk to her and everyone else.

I got up from my seat and walked away. Surprisingly, nobody thought it was rude. Maybe because their mission — Get Sanskar and Swara married was now successful.

“I need to talk to you.” I heard someone say from my back.

Swara. . .

I turned around to see an angry and frustrated Swara standing with her arms folded across her chest.

I signalled her to go on. . .

“How can you say a yes when you knew that none of us is ready for this? You know how much problem that one yes can cause?” She almost yelled at me.

There was no way this Miss Sadoo was going to change. . .

Who was she? Miss Universe? Of , I wasn’t going to listen to her blaming it all on me.

“I can ask you the same question. Why did you say yes? And its because of you that we are in such a situation. Now go and just tell them the truth.” I said.

“Acha! Toh ab sab meri galti hai! You go and tell them. Why should I go? You are equally responsible.” She said.

“No way. . .”

“Yes way. . .”

“And why the hell did you kick me out there?” I asked, narrowing my eyes at her.

“Because I. . . I wanted to talk to you. And anyway, you deserve not only kicks but also punches.” She said, hitting my right arm.

Now this was the limit. . . I twirled her around and pinned her against the wall.

“There’s no way you are change. Why do you hate me so much? Never mind just stay away from me.” I warned. Our faces inches away. I could feel her breath fanning my face.

“Okay but for that you have to tell them the truth.”

I rolled my eyes at how childish we were acting. “I don’t have time to argue with you right now. Lets just get over this. Its not too late. They won’t mind.” I said, freeing her from my tight grip.

“Won’t mind? You seriously think so? They are gonna get hurt! My mom, my dad, your mom. . .I can’t do this.” She said looking away.

And for the first time, Swara Roy seemed to have used her little whatever brain she had in her empty head. I had to agree with her on this, but this wasn’t right as well. They would get hurt, but eventually they would forget it and move on. What was the big deal?

“So what do we do now? Get married because our parents want us to? Spend the rest of our lives with each other just because of one stupid mistake?” I asked.

“No. That won’t happen. Why the hell do you even think that – I – want to marry you. Not even in my wildest dreams I would do that. I’ll talk to my mom about it.” She said.

What the hell did she just say?

“Excuse me. You are also not anyone I would fall for ever. But thays okay. I think that’s better. I’m sure your mom will understand.” I said.

She smiled weakly when somebody called on us from inside.

We walked inside. I was feeling a little lighter that before and I just hoped that everything would get back to normal. . .

But was it going to be? I really don’t know. . .

And again a sorry! I wrote this in utter hurry in the car. I know this was really the worst update. But I was bored:/ don’t forget to comment. I hope u like this fanfic but actually this will be a short one twenty five to thirty chapters long:)
