Swasan: Fix You (Episode 8)

Before you read this I must tell you that I’m studying human brain and this is all my frustration. So basically its a very bad update. Bad means very very very very very bad update.

~~Human Brain~~

Swara’s pov ~~

Boring..boring..boring!!! I couldn’t concentrate on anything! All I kept thinking about was Sanskar. I couldn’t concentrate on how human brain functions. All I knew was right now my brain had stopped functioning properly. I was day dreaming about Sanskar Kapoor when I should be studying about my exam.

I looked again at the phone which was kept beside me. I’d checked it a hundred times in the last one hour. I was waiting only for one call from him…or maybe a text ?

After checking my phone so many times I started thinking that i was hoping against hope. Am I boring ? I thought…

Hi we are One Direction and this is the most annoying ringtone ever —
My thoughts were interrupted by Zayn Malik’s voice coming out from the phone. I quickly picked up the phone and pressed the answer button.

“Hello?” I spoke and realized that I hadn’t seen the name of the caller. But I wished it was him…

“Swara…hi!” He spoke. Yes it was him. I felt happy thinking that he hadn’t forgotten me yet.

“Hi Sanskar, what’s up ?” I asked trying to be casual but I was doing a happy dance from inside.

“Nothing much yaar..Actually listen um..a friend of mine who stays in Bombay itself has a small get-together tomorrow evening and I couldn’t say a no and he –” I cut him off.
He wasn’t free. He had to go somewhere else. I wanted to meet him again, but he also had his friends who were equally important. I couldn’t be so selfish.

“Its okay Sanskar. You don’t have to explain anything. Friends are equally important. You should go…” I said earning a little laugh from him.

“Swara first listen to me..” He said. I waited for him to proceed.
“Actually I told him about you… And he wants you to come as well.”

What? Seriously? Now I go and meet his friends. I thought.

“I-I’m not sure. I mean I dont know anybody and also I dont want to be a party crasher, you know ?” I said.

“You aren’t a party crashed. And dont worry there aren’t much people there.. Its just a few friends..that’s it.” He said. I kept quiet and thought about it for a moment. Again I had that blank look on my face.

“Swara, I know what you’re thinking. You won’t be left out. I promise you na baba.” He said snapping me out of my thoughts.

“What if they dont like me ? What if I’m too boring ?” I asked in a low tone.

“Boring? Swara how many times do I have to tell you that you are not boring. Look I can’t force you to come. But its just that I only have a couple of days left. After that I’ll be going back to Delhi; and I know this sounds cheesy but I want to spend whatever time I’ve left with you …so please…?” He said and I pictured him pulling out a cute puppy dog face. How could I say no to that ?

“oh….um…okay..” I said and smiled a little. It wont be that bad? Would it ?

“Are you sure ? I mean only if you’re comfortable…”

“I’m.” I said with an extra confidence. I wont lie but I was nervous.

“Okay then. Cool! Ill pick you up by 5:30…” He said.

“Ill be waiting… bye..”

“Bye Swara…”

“Bye Sanky…”

“Bye…” He said and I couldn’t stop smiling like an idiot.

“Bye…” We kept on saying bye repeatedly. I didn’t want to hang up so soon and neither did he. But then I had as my gaze darted towards the book on my table…Human Brain…

I sighed. “Okay seriously, bye Sanskar. I’ll see you tomorrow. I’ve to study now..” I said.

“I know …see you tomorrow. Study well..bye.” He said and I picture him smiling as a beep was heard from the other end. He hung up.

I was stupidly smiling to myself and shook my head to concentrate on the Human Brain… … …

Next part : A positive change !

I know it was one of my worst updates. Please forgive me ! Pakka, next wala would be interesting !!
