Manan : Love On ! (Epi-8)

*After one week*

Manik’s POV

Nandini answered my call on the fourth ring.

“Hey Monster Manik !” Her cheerful voice greeted me on the other end.

“please stop calling me that. Will you ?” I said rolling my eyes wishing she could see it. ‘Montser’, if my fans get to know about this new name I would become India’s Next Laughingstock.

“of course not.” I could see her sticking her tongue out as she said this even though we were on phone.

“anyways I called you because you are coming to my house today right now.” I ordered her literally.

“what do you mean by I m coming to your house ?” She snapped back at me.

“stubborn girl. I m bored.”

She again cuts me in the middle “so am I . So what ?”

“so I want some company. Not to forget that you are my bestie.”

“yeah right. I ll be there in an hour or so.”

“hour ? Like seriously. Nandini your house is like thirty minutes away ? Please come right now.”

“okay rockstar get me a rocket or shall I book it from ISRO. I told you yesterday na I m working on a project. So first let me finish my errand. Then maybe…” Yeah her work which she didn’t like at all. Curse ISRO.

“huh ? Maybe . I want you here in an hour. Not even a single second late but you can certainly come a little early if you wish..” I grinned.

“nope. I wont come early.. dont worry.” she blurted and then cut the call.

**After two hours**

Nandini’s POV

Ting tong. I rang his door bell as I looked at my watch. I was late by an hour. I was so dead.To my surprise a young handsome guy opened the door whom I had never seen before. I looked at the door again. “Malhotra’s” it read. I was definitely at the right place.

“um. Isn’t this Manik’s place ?” I asked him.

“um yes it is. And you must be Nandini.”

“um yeah.”

“hi. He was expecting you. By the way, I m Manik’s best friend.”

“No he is my best friend.” I dramatically pouted like a six year old kid.

“okay. I m his second best friend.”

“okay Mr…”

“Dhruv. Won’t you let your second best friend’s best friend inside ?” I asked him.

“of course.” He kinda stared at me. Do ‘I look that bad ?’ I asked myself.

As we got inside I saw many unknown people sitting comfortably in the big sofa of the living hall.

Wait ? Is there any party going on here. Manik, you are so dead. I saw him sitting on his sofa giving a high five to some guy. Of course I dont know his name.

“um. Manik. You never told me that your other friends would be around too ?” By now all his friends were staring at me, giving their stern look.

“why ? You didn’t want us to come ?” Asked Dhruv who was standing beside me. At the same time Manik also replied
“You wanted to be alone with me Nandini ? You should have told me earlier.”

I shot a death glare at him and said “OH PLEASE. Manik.” And I had to ignore Dhruv’s question.

“Manik won’t you introduce us, this beautiful friend of yours ?” A fashionable girl asked who I suppose was one of his friend.

“yeah sure. So guys this is Nandini Murthy. My friend whom I met—”

Dhruv cuts him in the middle saying “is she that car waali ?”

“what ?” That’s what I could possibly say.

“well um. Nandini I was on phone with Dhruv when I crashed with your car. So he knows about the accident.”

I gave him an Oh look and said to Dhruv “so you are that great person with whom he was talking. Nice to meet you.”

“anyways he is…” Manik spoke when I cut him off–

“yeah I know. Dhruv your best friend.”

“no second best friend.” Dhruv corrected me. I flashed a smile back at him and then looked at Manik who started introducing his other friends.

“He is Cabira.” Manik said pointing to a guy in a sea green t shirt in his twenties.

“No call me Cabir.” He snapped back at Manik.

“okay Cabir. Nice to meet you.” I said shaking his hand.

“hi I m Mukti.” said a gorgeous girl with long curly locks.

“hey Mukti.” I greeted her.

“I m Maddy.” Said a handsome hunk. He looked hot I must say. Brushing those thoughts away I shook my hand.

“I m Aliya” said the girl who had asked about me earlier.

“noooooo. Call her Aaloo.” Manik pouted dramatically.

“okay Aaloo.” I laughed and made myself comfortable on the sofa sitting in beside Maddy.

“so you were getting bored with so many people around huh ?.” I asked Manik

“actually I wanted you to meet them.” He replied to which I gave the you-could-have-told-me-earlier look.
Dhruv came and sat beside me.

“so you dont like rock or pop music.” Mukti asked me giving a stern look.

I was a little afraid to reply seeing that look on her face. “um nothing like that. I love pop I mean one direction. I m like a big one directioner.”

I could hear Aliya giggling.

“well I m a big one too. Probably bigger than you too Nandini.” she said in excitement.

That’s what I can see. Fangirling without the band around. huh ?

“okay stop fangirling. Manik are you going to send us home starving ?” Cabir asked.

“I thought so.” Manik laughed.

All give him the I-m-gonna-kill-you look except me of course. I was least bothered about food.

“Kay. Just kidding guys. Dude you follow me.” He pointed at Dhruv and both head to kitchen

“anyways. I think Nandini you should try listening to rock music too. You will love it.” Cabir told me.

“of course you would say that because your friend is a part of a famous rock band.” I replied. What a stupid reply I gave to him. He’s my friend too !

“I m not saying this because my friend is a part of a Rock band but because I m also the drummer of the same band.”

After hearing this if I had water in my mouth, trust me, I would have spit it out. How could some one be so dumb ? If Manik is a part of a band its natural that his friends would also be.
“ you all are into rock music.” Obviously you idiot.

“yeah all except Dhruv.” replied Aliya.

“oh…” I said and became silent. What was I doing here in middle of rock stars. If Manik would have told me earlier that I would be in middle of big celebs tonight I would have definitely not stepped inside. Ofcourse Manik was an exception as he never let his celebrity status come in between our friendship. Who would have thought that an ordinary girl like me would become best friend of The Manik Malhotra.
I shrugged away these thoughts and turned towards Maddy to start a conversation because I certainly wont like being called a boring/rude/arrogant woman behind my back.

After a friendly conversation with Maddy and Cabir, Manik and Dhruv arrive with some delicious snacks.

Manik then sat beside me and I was glad he did.

“so what are going to do right now guys ?” Manik asked looking at everyone.

“lets play Truth and dare.” Aliya said in excitement.

“common we are not teenagers.” Mukti snapped back at her. So true. I kinda liked her tomboyish attitude even though I was a little girly.

“lets play Dark room.” Dhruv said in excitement.

“no we aren’t kids to play that.” Manik said.

“no let us see how do we play it ? How can you—” I was short of words but Manik clearly understood what I meant.

Then Dhruv explained us “So basically there would be a dark room and we all would hide in the darkness. And there will be a seeker who would try to find everyone and after finding he has to identify that person.”

I was with Manik right now. Kids play this kind of game dude ! But to my dismay all agreed and I and Manik had no choice but to agree to play this stupid game.

Moreover I am afraid of dark which I definitely wanted to hide from them.

Next part :
~~A fall in the dark~~

Hope you like this game and yeah something is gonna happen in this game.

Dont forget to comment its a request. I really want to know how stupid writer I m. Like stupid or very stupid or very very stupid or very very very stupid.

By the way Nandini’s likes and dislikes are kinda based on me in real life. I m like a very very big fan of One D. And I kinda fear darkness. But I love bike rides. That was a stupid one.

In tomorrow’s episode someone is going to be hell embarrassed.
